Horizon (Holt) Elementary School students got into the Walk to School Day spirit by performing the Ped Safety Dance on Walk to School Day 2011. Way to go, Horizon!
On October 5, thousands of students, parents and volunteers will walk or bicycle to school to celebrate International Walk to School Day. This year's Michigan Walk to School Day theme is "Let's Move Together." In addition to walking or bicycling to and from school, we encourage students to do the “Ped Safety Dance,” a choreographed, pedestrian-safety themed version of the song “The Safety Dance”. E-mail your videos to the Safe Routes to School office and we'll showcase the best ones on our website! Click here for more information about Walk to School Day or performing "The Ped Safety Dance.
