Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Mini Grants have been awarded for the 2023-2024 school year. Awards totaled $310,995 and were made to 25 kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools in Ann Arbor, Bath, Beaverton, Dearborn, Grayling, Ludington, Muskegon Township and Yale. The schools will use their Mini Grant awards for SRTS projects and programming to support active transportation programming and activities so students can safely walk, bike, and roll to school.

K-12 Schools or affiliated nonprofit are eligible to apply and receive up to $15,000 per K-12 school, with a maximum of $120,000 per applicant for 8 or more schools for initiatives that increase safe active transportation for students. The Mini Grant Request for Proposals opens each January with award notifications announced between late May and early June each year.
