Congratulations to our grant recipients!

Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Mini Grants have been awarded for the 2025-2026 school year. Awards totaled $396,092 and were made to 31 K-12 schools in Ann Arbor, Au Stable, Bay Mills Community, Birmingham, Grand Rapids, Hamtramck, Lansing, Masison Heights, Oak Park, Oscoda, Taylor, and Wyoming. They will use their Mini Grant awards for SRTS projects to support active transportation programming and activities so students can safely walk, bike, and roll to school.

K-12 Schools or affiliated nonprofit are eligible to apply and receive up to $15,000 per K-12 school, with a maximum of $120,000 per applicant for eight or more schools for initiatives that increase safe active transportation for students. The Mini Grant Request for Proposals opens each January with award notifications announced between late May and early June each year.
