Help Us Welcome Adam

We welcomed Adam Jenks to our team as the Program Coordinator this November. Adam comes to SRTS with experience in public education, working with students in youth engagement and empowerment programming.

Before coming aboard, Adam worked as a social studies teacher at Battle Creek Central High School, serving as the lead advisor to the BCC Youth Empowerment group. The group focused on community service deficits in the city of Battle Creek and collaborated with other local high school students to enact youth-led solutions. Adam worked on several SRTS projects prior to his arrival, having been involved with the Michigan State University School of Planning, Design, and Construction while earning his master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning.

In his leisure time, Adam enjoys hiking and biking Fort Custer Recreation Area near his home in Battle Creek, reading graphic novels, and scouting out the famous ice cream establishments of Michigan. He is excited to continue work with schools to encourage youth community engagement and healthy lifestyles.
